In Atul Gawande's inspiring book “Better – a Surgeon's notes on performance”, he describes how frustrating it was that the focus of infection control in the operating theatre was not shared by the rest of the hospital. Anytime I can learn from a Harvard graduate then I will spend the time on it. Gawande, a surgeon at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Boston, is also author of Better: A Surgeon's Notes on Performance and Complications: A Surgeon's Notes on An Imperfect Science.
